Absolutely…

Is that an irritating phrase?

Absolutely not!

This is a statement that allows us to provide confidence and comfort to others in a day and age of uncertainty, mistrust and doubt  We need things like “absolutely” and absolutes.

Reader’s digest recently labeled this as one of the 10 most irritating phrases in English but I “absolutely” disagree.

Again, this is an example of a word of certainty, and not of doubt – something we need absolutely more of today, and it needs to be said more often as long as its absolutely true!
