A quick comment:
To not pass on good advice should be considered a great disservice. How many times have we failed to pass on good advice? Some advice can make a big difference in someone’s life.
Advice may make a big difference if offered. It’s better if people had a choice by hearing an alternative offered by you, than none at all.
Giving advice that you know will produce a predictable and desired result can go a long way and can make the world a better place, even if it only seems like such a small difference to you. To someone else, it may mean the world.
It’s the little things that sometimes count and the little extra that sometimes makes the big difference. Even if you think your knowledge is limited, since it may make a huge difference and is therefore be worth passing along.
So don’t forget to offer good advice and tell others your lessons learned, just as the quote states. The next time you find yourself withholding good advice, don’t. Give it!
An example
I remember when I told someone selling a house that they could sell it for much more and the money they’d make would also be tax free. When the person heard this, they were very happy, and they prospered because of it.
This made me feel good, even though I gained nothing monetarily for giving the advice. I did gain satisfaction that they used my advice and that it was valuable and helpful.
Others have done this for me as well, by giving me useful and free advice that was worth a lot in terms of time and/or money saved. If we all keep passing such things along to others, we all win, and the good that goes around comes around!
